This house was constructed by Paul Taylor Building Services and has a full NHBC guarantee. Sub-contractors were used for the blockwork and rendering.
These pages show the progress of the build from start to finish in 2006.
The site was purchased in mid-2004 with outline planning consent. A large mobile home was placed on site and initial work included clearing trees and vegetation, fencing and the installation of sewerage, water and telephone services. Neatwood Homes were engaged to supply the plans and the timber frame. This comes as a package and it was decided at the outset to have Neatwood construct the timber frame once the walls were up to DPC level.
Tolerance for the slab is ± 5mm and a laser levelling device was used to provide accuracy.
Final plans were approved by October and groundwork began in mid-November. Gelli Plant carried out the excavation for the footings and excess spoil was removed by another local contractor. RMC supplied the 20 cubic metres of concrete for the footings and garage base; concrete building blocks were supplied by Tygroes. Other suppliers are:

The build was completed by end of December 2005 - and all that remained to do was build decking at the rear and make the front entrance gates. There were a few delays during the build but these were in the main due to weather conditions.
